March 3, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) issued the following statement today announcing that Kelley Hudak has joined the Office of the Majority Whip as the Business Coalitions Coordinator.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kelley back to Team Scalise,” Rep. Scalise said. “The Whip organization will benefit greatly from her passion for conservative policy solutions and from her strong relationship with organizations who share our commitment to free markets and creating good jobs for hard-working taxpayers so we can grow a healthy economy.”

“I'm delighted to be re-joining team Scalise to take on my new role as Business Coalitions Coordinator,” Kelley Hudak said. “It’s an honor to serve as a part of the House Majority Whip staff, and I look forward to building and enhancing consistent dialogue with the business community on behalf of the Whip office and the Members of our Republican Conference.”

Hudak comes to the Office of the Majority Whip after serving the past three chairmen of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) as the Director of Conservative Coalitions and State Outreach, and as the chief spokesperson for the RSC to outside conservative coalitions and organizations. Prior to joining the RSC, Hudak worked at a conservative public relations firm handling both corporate and political clients such as Americans for Prosperity, National Taxpayers Union, and the Federalist Society amongst others. Hudak grew up in Clifton, Va., and attended the University of Mary Washington where she majored in political science.
