September 18, 2008

Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced that St. Tammany Parish has been added to FEMA’s Hurricane Gustav Major Disaster declaration allowing them to receive additional public assistance. St. Tammany is now included in Categories A – G of the Major Disaster declaration. This also applies to all local governments and public institutions.

This will help the entire parish recover from the storm and get reimbursed for the work they’ve done.”

Until today, St. Tammany Parish was only eligible for Individual Assistance and Category B Public Assistance. They are now eligible for Individual Assistance and Categories A – G Public Assistance.
