The Latest:

Last week, President Biden called on Congress to suspend the federal gas tax for 90 days in an effort to tamp down record-high gas prices caused by his self-created energy crisis. This is yet another gimmick from the Biden Administration, which continues to fail the American families forced to choose between whether to fill their gas tank or feed their families.

President Biden has done everything he can to shut down American energy production. He blames everybody but himself for skyrocketing gas prices, but the public knows better. Now, he plans to travel over 5,000 miles to Saudi Arabia to beg for more oil production when he could open up the spigots right here at home.

Later this week, all eyes will be on Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, who has promised to deliver a draft of the Biden Administration's five-year offshore energy leasing plan by the end of June when the current plan expires. Once again, this Administration is waiting until the last minute to do its duty, while hardworking Americans are desperate for relief at the pump.

Instead of focusing on leftist, anti-energy policies that will cost billions of dollars, President Biden should focus on opening up American energy production in places like the Gulf of Mexico and turn to energy-producing states to unleash the full potential of American energy and bring our nation out of this energy crisis.

House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) joined Fox Business Network's Kudlow to discuss how President Biden refuses to take responsibility for his anti-American energy agenda that has led to soaring inflation and skyrocketing energy prices.

HEAT Co-Chair Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.)joined Fox Business Network's Mornings with Maria to talk about President Biden's American-last energy policies and House Energy and Commerce Committee Republicans' solutions to President Biden's war on American energy.

Representative Greg Pence (R-Ind.) sent a letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan regarding the EPA's bureaucratic coal ash regulations that will contribute to the rolling blackouts Hoosiers could face this summer. Rep. Pence urged the Agency to protect dispatchable, baseload power supplies to keep the lights on for families and businesses.

Representative French Hill (R-Ark.) toured the only nuclear power facility in Arkansas to learn more about how nuclear power provides one of the safest and most effective means of energy production.

House Rules Committee Ranking Member Tom Cole (R-Okla.) released a statement slamming President Biden's ridiculous proposal to suspend the federal gas tax for 90 days.

In a speech on the House Floor, Representative Gus Bilirakis (R-Fla.)urged his House Republican colleagues to join him in the fight to lower prices at the pump.

At a House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy hearing, Representative Larry Bucshon (R-Ind.) noted that Indiana residents are paying over $5-per-gallon at the pump and discussed solutions to combat the Biden Administration's flawed energy policies.
