WASHINGTON, D.C.— House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) invites students from Louisiana's First Congressional District to participate in the 2021 Congressional App Challenge. The challenge is open to middle school and high school students who are interested in developing skills in computer science and coding. Students may register today by visiting the Congressional App Challenge's online application portal here.

"As a former computer programmer, I am always excited to see students taking an interest in the applied sciences and exploring new ways to allow technology to make our everyday lives easier. It's great to see Louisiana students developing and honing these skills, and I look forward to reviewing the work of our talented students and wish them the best of luck!" said Whip Scalise.
