Achieving Common-Sense Health Care Reform For American Workers
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement after House passage of H.R. 1624, the Protecting Affordable Coverage for Employees Act:
“Obamacare’s unworkable mandates continue to fail our hard-working taxpayers by hindering job creation across the country, by increasing health care costs, and by breaking promise after promise,” Rep. Scalise said. “Today, the House took strong action to protect more than three million American workers who are unnecessarily suffering under the weight of the President’s health care law, which has failed this nation since day one. Government-run health care is harming our nation’s economic growth, and American workers should not have to lose the good health care plans they have and like. I applaud my colleague Congressman Brett Guthrie for his leadership in shepherding this bill through the House.”
