Scalise: $35,127 for Southeastern Louisiana University

Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced that Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond has been awarded a $35,127 grant from the Department of Health and Human Services.

Southeastern Louisiana University will receive the funds for an Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship program.

“Southeastern Louisiana University has an excellent reputation for training professional nurses and I’m pleased to see them earn this well-deserved,” Scalise said. “Our region needs more highly trained nurses and I’m proud to see that more nurses will get their education here at SLU.”

Southeastern Louisiana University has received the Nightingale Award for Outstanding Nursing School of the Year twice in the last 5 years.
