Scalise Announces April Town Hall Meeting Schedule

March 26, 2010

Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced a series of town hall meetings throughout the First Congressional District in early April.

Congressman Scalise will discuss issues including jobs, the government takeover of health care, the “cap and trade” energy tax, federal spending, and any other issues that constituents would like to discuss with him at the town hall meetings.

“With unemployment numbers still high, and in the aftermath of the health care bill passing, I encourage people to come out and let their views be heard and discuss what we can continue to do to control federal spending and these reckless policies,” Scalise said. “I look forward to talking about the issues we are facing in Congress, and hearing the views of people throughout the first district at my town hall meetings. There is no greater honor for me than going to work every day to serve the people of Southeast Louisiana in the United States Congress.”
