Scalise Applauds Subcommittee Passage of FCC Reform Bill
February 5, 2015
WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) issued the following statement after the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology unanimously approved Scalise’s FCC Consolidated Reporting Act.
“The FCC Consolidated Reporting Act is common sense reform and an important step in the process of making the FCC more efficient and modernized by eliminating outdated mandates,” Rep. Scalise said. “By passing this bipartisan legislation, Congress can help the FCC operate more efficiently and encourage the commission to analyze competition in the marketplace through a holistic approach, rather than based on the outdated silos that no longer reflect the real world of the 21st century communications economy.”
