Scalise Expresses Need for Urgency with Toxic Chinese Drywall Investigation
October 30, 2009
Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise responded to the preliminary findings issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on the status of the investigation into problems associated with toxic Chinese drywall.
“Many Louisianan residents are still living in homes that are infected with toxic Chinese drywall and they deserve answers. The progress of the CPSC’s investigation is insufficient, and their preliminary findings do not provide any solutions for the people who are affected by toxic drywall. I encourage the CPSC to move forward with the same sense of urgency as the people who are currently living in infected homes are demanding.”
