Scalise: Louisianans need relief, not another Obamacare sales pitch
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Steve Scalise today released the following statement regarding HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’ visit to New Orleans to encourage people to sign up for Obamacare.
“Louisiana families need relief from President Obama’s health care law, not another sales pitch for a product that has failed millions of Americans,” Scalise said. “Thousands of Louisiana families have seen their work hours reduced, resulting in smaller paychecks while their health care premiums skyrocket. Thousands more have witnessed the president’s broken Obamacare promises firsthand after they lost the health care coverage they had and liked. Soon millions of Americans will be forced to pay fines to the IRS for failing to sign up for health care coverage they don’t want and many can't afford. While she’s in New Orleans, I call on Secretary Sebelius to address these and many other problems that President Obama's health care law is causing for Louisiana families.”
