Scalise Praises National Recognition of Southeastern University’s LSBDC
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement applauding the Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) at Southeastern Louisiana University for receiving the 2015 Small Business Development Center Excellence and Innovation Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration. LSBDC Director William Joubert will receive the national award at the White House in Washington, D.C. on Friday, May 8, 2015.
"The LSBDC at Southeastern University has been a champion for small businesses throughout south Louisiana for more than two decades,” Rep. Scalise said. “LSBDC is dedicated to providing the vital tools and opportunities small businesses need to compete and create jobs. I recently had the honor of congratulating Director Joubert and his team at the LSBDC in person for receiving this very prestigious national award and recognition. As the representative for Louisiana’s First Congressional District, I am proud to continue fighting alongside the LSBDC to pass legislation that creates jobs and grows our economy so innovation can flow from the ground up, not from unelected bureaucrats in Washington.”
“Our success could not have been achieved without the strong cooperation we receive from area economic development agencies and chambers of commerce as we work together to improve the economic climate and opportunities for the region,” LSBDC Director William Joubert said.
