Scalise Statement on Military Helicopter Crash

March 11, 2015

METAIRIE, LA - Congressman Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement today regarding the seven Marines and four soldiers aboard the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter that crashed during a training mission off the coast of Florida near Eglin Air Force Base.

“Our hearts go out to the service members involved in this tragic crash and to their families,” Rep. Scalise said. “Jennifer and I are praying for all of those affected by this devastating accident during this difficult time, including the guardsmen based in Hammond, Louisiana. We always appreciate the sacrifices made by those who answer the call to defend our freedoms, and tragic events like this remind us of the price of those freedoms. My office will provide any assistance necessary during the search for all those on board.”
