Scalise statement on the passing of John Maginnis

Metairie, LA - U.S. Representative Steve Scalise issued the following statement following the passing of Louisiana journalist John Maginnis.

"The state of Louisiana lost a legend today with the sudden passing of John Maginnis," said Scalise. "Over the past four decades, John became an institution within Louisiana journalism. While he often seemed to have an abundance of material to work with, John Maginnis had a unique talent for telling a story in a way that made it come to life for his readers. He will be greatly missed. Jennifer and I send our deepest condolences to his wife Jackie and their family, and will keep John in our thoughts and prayers."
