Washington, DC -- Earlier this week, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) named Congressman Steve Scalise a “Taxpayer Hero.” Scalise scored a 94 percent on the recently released CCAGW 2009 Congressional Ratings, a ranking that placed him in the top ten percent of all House Members.

Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise continues to lead the fight against the drilling moratorium by introducing an amendment to H.R. 3534, the CLEAR Act, designed to permanently repeal the Obama administration’s ban on offshore drilling. The bipartisan amendment already has 47 cosponsors, and will be offered at the House Rules Committee tonight.

The Court ruled 5 – 4 in favor of the Second Amendment and an individual’s right to keep and bear arms.
