Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced that his district staff will host satellite office hours in Gretna on Wednesday, April 27.

“We want to provide an opportunity for Gretna residents to meet with our staff at a location closer to them,” Scalise said. “I encourage residents to come meet with our staff during these satellite office hours to discuss issues they may have concerning federal agencies or policies.”

Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today led a bipartisan letter signed by 39 Members of Congress urging President Obama to recognize the importance of the Mississippi River and the need for an appropriate maintenance dredging policy on the Mississippi River. The recent policy put in place by the Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) caused inadequate dredging of the river, resulting in harmful draft restrictions along the Lower Mississippi River last month.

Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) have issued an updated remediation protocol to assist homeowners in ridding their property of toxic Chinese drywall. The updated protocol sites an in-depth study done by Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico which determined it unnecessary to replace wiring and electrical systems.
