Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today voted in favor of H.R. 5114, a five year extension of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), which passed the House 329 to 90.

Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today applauded the U.S. Supreme Court for ruling in favor of the Second Amendment by deciding that the Second Amendment applies to state and local gun laws. The Court ruled 5 – 4 in favor of the Second Amendment and an individual’s right to keep and bear arms.

Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has made Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) available to small businesses in Louisiana affected by the BP oil spill. This includes those businesses that operate on revenue from fishing, recreational and sports fishing and coastal business. SBA is also providing loan deferments to fishermen and others affected who are still paying back loans taken out after Hurricane Katrina.
