Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has finally granted the permit to proceed with the Interstate I-12 interchange at Louisiana 1088 project.

“While this project has been tied up in red tape for far too long, it is very encouraging that we finally got the Corps to issue the permit,” Scalise said. “This is a very important project to improve St. Tammany’s infrastructure and to provide a safe access route to the newly-opened Lakeshore High School.”

Mandeville -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced that his Health Care Town Hall Meeting will now be held at the Fontainebleau High School Gym at 100 Bulldog Drive in Mandeville on Wednesday, September 2. The location has been changed to accommodate the increased interest in the health care debate.

Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise will be hosting a Crime and Corruption Forum in Jefferson Parish on Wednesday, August 19, to discuss ways for citizens to fight crime and corruption.

“These law enforcement officials on our panel are on the front line in the war against crime and corruption,” Scalise said. “They will share important insights into how citizens can get more involved and remain vigilant in fighting crime and corruption.”
