Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced that his language to give immediate OCS revenue sharing to restore our coast was included in the “American Energy Innovation Act” (H.R. 2300) that was introduced this week by more 30 Members of Congress.
The American Energy Innovation Act is the Republican alternative energy plan to the Democrats’ “cap and trade” energy tax plan. Scalise was part of the Republican Conference’s American Energy Solutions Working Group, who helped draft this legislation.

Slidell -- Congressman Steve Scalise will be the honorary chair for the East St. Tammany Relay for Life on Saturday, April 25 in Slidell.
Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s Signature Event held annually. More than 3.5 million people participate each year nationwide. This year in Slidell, there are nearly 500 participants registered and more than 200 cancer survivors from the Slidell area planning to attend.

Richard Phillips is a true hero for offering his life to save his crew. All of our country’s prayers were answered when the entire crew was rescued with no American casualties.”
