WASHINGTON, D.C.— House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) invites students from Louisiana's First Congressional District to participate in the 2021 Congressional App Challenge. The Congressional App Challenge is an annual competition that allows students to submit their applications to be judged by an expert panel. The challenge is open to middle school and high school students who are interested in developing skills in computer science and coding.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) joined Congresswoman Julia Letlow (R-La.), Congressman Garret Graves (R-La.), Congressman Clay Higgins (R-La.), and Congressman Troy Carter (D-La.) in sending a letter to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers expressing concerns over the slow rollout of Operation Blue Roof to help protect homes damaged during Hurricane Ida and requested that the Corps expedite roof installations to provide relief for homeowners.
