WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) visited MMI Culinary in Kenner yesterday to speak about the importance of fully reopening Louisiana businesses and restaurants. Whip Scalise praised the success of the Paycheck Protection Program in assisting local businesses and keeping them afloat during the pandemic. Whip Scalise also touted the progress of states that have eased COVID restrictions as opposed to the shortcomings of states that remain fully locked down.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and Congressman Garret Graves (R-La.) today announced that Louisiana will receive a $109,948,761 share of nearly $249 million in the FY 2020 Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) energy revenues that the four Gulf oil and gas producing states will receive. Of the revenues, the State of Louisiana will receive $87,959,009.28 while the coastal parishes receive $21,989,752.31.
