Metairie -- Congressman Steve Scalise is calling on President Obama to stand by his word and broadcast health care reform discussions on C-SPAN. Reports indicate that the President plans to meet privately with union representatives in next few days to discuss details of the government takeover of health care, including placing a 40 percent tax on high-priced insurance policies, often referred to as a “Cadillac plans.” Unions have opposed the tax because it could impact some of the more generous union sponsored health plans.
