Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise released the following statement in response to the passage of H.R. 3962, the House health care bill.
“Today was a defeat for the American people, and for quality medical care in our country. Nancy Pelosi and her liberal lieutenants ignored the American people who want common-sense health care reforms that lower costs and address pre-existing conditions without the taxes and mandates that come with a government takeover.
Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise has introduced an amendment to the Health Care Bill, H.R. 3962 in the Rules Committee today that requires the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to submit a report to Congress highlighting the economic impacts of the newly proposed Oyster regulations.
Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced that several provisions from his Disaster Recovery Improvement Act (DRIA), H.R. 3453, were amended into the Disaster Response, Recovery and Mitigation Enhancement Act, H.R. 3377, which passed out of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee today.
